ABOUT SAMANTHA BERGER

  • Samantha Berger writes and writes and writes (she’s even writing this bio, right now).

    She has written picture books like CRANKENSTEIN, illustrated by Dan Santat (Little, Brown 2013), which won the SCBWI NY Regional Crystal Kite Award (!!!) and was an E.B. White Read-Aloud Finalist Selection. She’s written the sequel A CRANKENSTEIN VALENTINE (December, 2014), as well as SNOOZEFEST (Dial, January, 2015) illustrated by Kristyna Litton, and BOO LA LA, WITCH SPA! (Dial, Halloween, 2015) illustrated by Isabelle Roxas. She has written picture books like SANTA’S REINDEER GAMES illustrated by John Manders (Cartwheel, 2011), MARTHA DOESN’T SAY SORRY, and MARTHA DOESN’T SHARE illustrated by Bruce Whatley (Little, Brown 2010, 2009).

    She has written cartoons and promos for Nickelodeon for over a decade.
    She has written comics and commercials.
    She has written movie trailers, theme songs, slogans, magazine articles, poems, TV-books, sticker books and professional books. Sometimes she writes under the pseudonym Martha T. Ottersley!

    When she *ISN’T* writing….Samantha is doing voice-overs, traveling the world, and helping rescue dogs.

    THEN…

    she writes about that, too!

    Samantha splits her time between sunny California and New York City with her dog Polly Pocket.
