I write and illustrate picture books (most recent: BLUEBERRY CAKE, Aladdin) early graphic novels (the EXTRAORDINARY WARREN books, Aladdin) and chapter books (The MOUSE SCOUT series, Knopf.
In addition, I am also an agent with my agency Painted Words Inc. I am excited to work with writers and illustrators who are passionate about children’s books and help them to tell the stories only they can tell.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I have been a writer and illustrator for a little while now, and the longer I do this the more I realize that the stories that resonate most with readers are the ones that I am most personally connected to.
In my role as an agent I strive to help artists discover the stories that are deep within them and find the best way to share those stories with the world.
