ABOUT SILVIA ACEVEDO

  • Silvia Acevedo is an award-winning journalist and novelist. In her 20 years in news, she’s interviewed presidential candidates, covered national and international stories, and given breaking news reports for CNN and local television and radio stations around the country. She guest hosted a morning talk show for the Milwaukee NBC station and continues to write for various news publications. Silvia’s fiction focuses on fantasy and mythology. Her books include God Awful Loser, God Awful Thief, and God Awful Rebel, winner of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ SPARK AWARD for older readers. Silvia is co-regional advisor for SCBWI-Wisconsin.
