I am a British-Australian father-of-three. My French-Nicaraguan-German wife Pauline and I moved to Singapore (yes, we’re very international) for 2 years in 2007… and are still here and still loving life in the Little Red Dot.
By day I work in Finance, and in my spare time I love running, cycling and skiing (not too much of that in Singapore though), and I coach my youngest son’s Under 6 rugby team
Oh, and in my spare, spare time I write stories for children.
I started writing not long after my oldest son was born, just doodling down rhymes in my spare time. After a couple of years I gathered together all those doodles… and… ‘voila!’ a masterpiece… Easy!
At least, that’s what I thought at the time. What followed was a long journey of discovery. It’s not that easy and to succeed takes time and dedication. All of which is easier said than done when working full time and raising three young kids.
But with the support of the amazing people at SCBWI Singapore (please, please, please any aspiring children’s writers or illustrators, join your local group and get involved) I’ve developed my writing skills and style, and hopefully you all enjoy reading my work.
