Reading and discussion of FIRST BREAK, a YA contemporary deep dive into a first person narrative of a psychotic break. Looking into early symptoms of mental illness and alternating with discussion in subsequent videos. Videos will remain short (under 10 mins.) This will be a project that evolves collaboratively and incorporates other aspects of film that the author is producing with a team in response to Covid-19. This novel was written for reluctant readers and contains thorough questions and back matter which will be looked at as well. Begins 3/18/20.
