Hi! I'm so happy you're here.

I've always hoped to turn my lifelong loves of writing and animals into something wonderful. This year, I made my dream come true by publishing two children's books, one of which is right here about the slightly-disgruntled Sidney, and I hope you enjoy the result.

During the day, I help connect people with the resources they need to help individuals with special needs thrive, not just survive. It's very rewarding, and I feel it's spilled over into my books.

I live with my husband, Dave, and there are always guinea pigs and cats keeping us company at any given point.  My other published book is "Dr. Guinea Pig George."

"Becky Benishek's astonishing tale of a bored snail, who fails to see the beauty and excitement in the world around him until he truly opens his eyes, is one filled with smiles and excitement from beginning to end. The story encourages readers to go out and explore up close what is right there, at the ends of their noses, instead of complaining and becoming so easily bored. Doing so not only shines a spotlight on the beauty of your natural surroundings, once you open your eyes and truly see it, but also enables you to make new friends without trying too hard. I recommend What's at the End of Your Nose? not only to children, but to people of all ages."

“What a great book! A fantastic story about the life of one the small creatures you normally don't notice, bringing you down to his level in a fun adventure! I also really like the message that you can find amazing things all around you if you only look.”
