Dragonella

Synopsis:

Dragonella is the only dragon at her new school. Other students - trolls, griffins and ogres - are frightened when she breathes fire. The teacher isn't happy when Dragonella's laughter melts the filing cabinet. But when Dragonella's flames save the day during the class party on Legend Day, the teacher and other students learn they shouldn't be quick to judge someone who is different.

What a neat idea for a story. I can picture young readers now, giggling at Dragonella and the excitement she causes at school. Congratulations.

This is on my list, Elizabeth. My grands aren't quite 4 but I'm thinking they would enjoy this. It sounds like a wonderful story for young ones.

Dragonella - Dragonella was awarded Honorable Mention in the Children’s/Young Adult Fiction category of the December 2011 805h Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition

Imogene and the Case of the Missing Pearls - This is a great choice for middle grade readers. The female/male protagonist combo will appeal to boys and girls alike, and the marriage of mystery and historical fiction is a winner. I can't wait to put this in my library when the school year begins. B. Payne, School Librarian

The Fourth Wish - I am a eleven year old girl and I love this book. It is a fun book about four kids, Arthur, Melanie, Cory and Erin. It all starts when they help Ms. Seraphina and she gives them each a wish. Cory wishes that the magician had real magic. Throughout this delightful story about the four kids, they scramble to undo the problems created by the wish while Melanie tries to understand the divorce between her parents. I would recommend this book for all ages.
