Kelly Anne White
The Legend of the Fairy Stones shares, in originally authored lyrical verse, the woodland lore of fairy tears turning to cross-shaped stones (real-life staurolite crystals). The story takes an upbeat journey through a land filled with joyful fairies before twisting and turning into a world of perceived evils and ill wills, the stones serving as token reminders of fearlessness. Once the stones are introduced into the narrative, a fairy stone is hidden on each page thereafter for the reader to find. To illustrate, the author curated and digitally collaged nearly 200 public domain works of art.

Fairies are all the rage. Help kids get in touch with their spirituality.
This is just gorgeous. It reminds me of An Alphabet of Angels--one of my favorites. Poetic and beautiful.

My daughters and students were always fascinated by Fairies. They would have loved this. Great idea to hide the fairy stones.

What an original and lovely idea! Children (and some adults!) love fairies. And isn't it wonderful how some children believe in them heart and soul?
