I could spend all day every day researching cool things from history. It was a complete thrill to get to work on THE GREAT CHICAGO FIRE, not only because I am a history-lover but also because I live in Chicago! I know kids and teachers here are experts on this topic, so I tried hard to dig up some new facts to share. Focusing on the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition allowed me to spin such a tragedy into something positive, as this was Chicago's way of reintroducing itself to the world!
