BLANQUITA HAS A BAD DAY
Rosemary I Langway
Synopsis
This book is about a little llama named Blanquita who meets Rosita, her new friend. Rosita is a six-year old girl unaware that most llamas have tendency to spit when they feel uncomfortable or scared. After Rosita acquires this llama as her new pet, the love begins to grow in helping Blanquita to overcome this bad habit of spitting, and teaching Rosita new responsibilities of raising a pet.

This book was written based on my approach to teaching Spanish to elementary school students. It was a pleasure to see the children engaged with these short stories featuring bilingual conversations.

From the Author
This book is dedicated to all the elementary school students I have taught over the years. Their desire to learn Spanish inspired me to create this book. I strive to share these same experiences with children from all around the world with my books, videos and songs.

I want to give special thanks to my six-year old granddaughter, Maribelle. Her excitement in learning and reading the lines in English and Spanish for the video books, has motivated me to accomplish this project. The most important time to teach a new language is when they are early readers.
