An Amazon reader comment:

- Engaging illustrations and content will make readers think.
- The book functions on two levels. First, a story of Violet thinking through the alarming consequences of trash making its way to the ocean. She is inspired by people she encounters.
- On a second level, it includes facts and about ocean trash and describes amazing projects and textbook definitions for for readers to feel hopeful -- and helpful -- about changing the way they live and about everyone doing their part to save the planet.
