Bio:
Alison is the ARA of Queensland, Australia. Her MG historical fiction story, The Remarkables, won the 2021 Times | Chicken House | IET150 Children's Fiction Prize in the UK. It will be published as HER MAJESTY'S LEAGUE OF REMARKABLE YOUNG LADIES by Chicken House Books in 2023. Her debut picture book, Boogie Woogie Bird, was released in early 2022. Ali is represented by Lucy Irvine of Peter, Fraser & Dunlop Literary Agency, London.
Presentation Description:
Kids arrive at my writing workshops with an inkling that they might like to write a story or book. They leave with courage to begin writing, a spark of an idea, and skills to keep going.
