Bio:

An experienced fourth grade teacher, Amy Laundrie delights in presentations for all ages. Her five-book Kayla Montgomery Mystery Series appeals to older horse fans who enjoy light romance and suspense. Her latest book, Noah’s Ark Pet Care Club, is appropriate for 8-12 year olds. Programs can be modified as needed.

Sample Programs:
“The Game Writers Get to Play” is geared for K-3. Using numerous props, Amy stirs her audience’s imaginations.
“It All Starts with the Egg” is for older students. She uses visuals aids to explain the process she went through to create her series. By the end, students are itching to write themselves.
“Writing From the Gut”, a workshop suitable for grades 3-8, will demonstrate how writers use their life experiences and interests to create authentic writing.
“So you Want to be a Writer?” includes techniques and tips on how to get published.
“Life as an Author” is informative and is peppered with humorous anecdotes.
