Story is my life from my early years fishing and haunting the gold museums in my Colorado, to backwoods travel in my Alaska, and then nesting in the richness of diversity in my Bay Area of California. I know story through art, teaching, writing, and by verbal telling, important to craft an excellent story.
My "Masters" "how to tell a story," I acquired from the Storytelling Program at Dominican University in San Rafael, CA.
As I like to say, my "Doctorate," "where stories originated," I earned from studies at the Asia Art Museum in San Francisco.
Now I like to say: I have a "doctorate" degree in e-publishing and started AS IS Productions for BobbieTales. This process involves cover design, formatting, marketing, and social media.
"With age brings wisdom" is my motto.
For classroom visits, I am an expert on faery lore: faery life, their view of their realm, and how they relate to humans. I bring my book Rhyonna's Fright to talk about a faery with injured wings and her challenge and struggle to save her realm, which takes friends and commitment. I also have faery tales I can tell about this magical world. And if interested an art project for naming and drawing your faery.
For adult workshops and conferences, I can speak about e-publishing. All entailed for book covers; formating, such as mobi, epubs; distribution, such as Amazon, CreateSpace, Smashwords or IngramSparks; ISBNs; Library of Congress; listing in ebook stores; how to be accepted by library and bookstore, and setting up a website and social media. Sounds complicated only very interesting and getting easier with hyperlinks.
