Bio:
Most days, I'm busy with heart research and echocardiography (my day job!). Whenever possible, I like to spend time underwater diving in the pristine waters that surround New Zealand. I write every day: scientific papers; picture books for children; non-fiction books about nature; travel guides; inspiration gift books for all. In my spare time, I like to knit atake walks, travel, snorkel and scuba dive, and of course I read a lot. I have three degrees, two kids, one husband and no pets - we're too busy to look after animals!
Presentation Description:
I use colourful powerpoint presentations and audience participation to introduce a wide range of topics such as the value of reading, how to start and continue to write, exploring the natural world and history. I am a naturally exuberant person and have honed my public speaking skills over a 25 year career in tertiary education.
