Jennifer Cole Judd writes poetry and picture books for children. Her picture book,Circus Train (Two Lions) debuted in 2015. She is also an editor/author of An Eyeball in My Garden--And Other Spine-Tingling Poems, a spooky middle grade poetry anthology (Marshall Cavendish, 2010). Her poems and stories have been published in magazines such as Cricket, Spider, Fun For Kidz, Ladybug, and Highlights High Five.

I offer a variety of presentations that can be tailored to suit the needs of the students. The following are a brief description of a sampling of my presentations:
*All Aboard the Circus Train. Focusing on the story making process with Circus Train,
students will learn about writing and
revision, the life of an author, the submission process and more. Powerpoint
presentation and "props" with a fun, interactive storytime included.
*Why Write Poetry? Answer…If You Dare. Based on poems
from Eyeball in My Garden, with a fun, interactive "spooky" powerpoint, students and Jennifer will create an original spooky poem, while students learn elements of poem crafting including, rhythm, rhyme, structure, diction, and more. Includes spooky poem readings.
*The Poet’s Toolbox. An interactive presentation on poetic
devices; students will be exposed to different poems and recognize alliteration, imagery, simile, metaphor,
onomatopoeia, rhyme and more. Students will collaborate with Jennifer to write a list poem, then have an opportunity to expand on their ideas.
