Gandhi wrote, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." The change I wish to see is love. We need to love. All of my writing reflects this. I'm the author of two picture books about little known aspects of the American Revolution and two contemporary young adult novels. Often I'm asked why I write in such diverse areas, but to me it's all the same. I write about humanity. I explore why and how people make their choices. What's in our hearts never changes. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from New School University and a BA in English from New York University. My biggest writing influence was William Shakespeare. He is my god, and William Faulkner is my high priest. I live on Long Island with my two sons. Please visit my website for detailed information about my books and me.
It is my continual thrill and honor to visit schools, libraries, historical societies, writers’ and reading groups and organizations. Lectures and workshops are tailored to your needs.
My visits may be geared toward my books on the American Revolution, my young adult novels or my life as a writer. Writing workshops are also available.
