Bologna Publishing Professional Grant
To assist in enabling an editor, agent, or art director from an underrepresented background to attend the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
One industry member will receive a $3,000 stipend to cover tuition to the 2027 Bologna Book Fair, travel fare, and accommodations. The winner must be willing to give reviews/consultations at the fair in the SCBWI Bologna Booth.
Submissions open September 1 through September 30, 2026 at midnight PST. Apply through the MY AWARDS tab in your MEMBER HOME.
Eligibility guidelines:
Any agent, editor, or art director from a racial background that is underrepresented in U.S.-based publishing, including Black, Indigenous, and People of color.
Submission guidelines:
Please submit a PDF with the following information:
- An artist statement/career statement
- A backlist of the books you’ve been attached to in the last five years
- Your plans for how you would take advantage of Bologna 2027
