Gittel's Journey: An Ellis Island Story

At the start of the 1900's, Gittel and her mother are leaving the "Old Country" to travel to America in search of a better life. But the health inspector won't let Gittel's mother board the ship, so nine-year-old Gittel must make the journey alone. The ship is so big and Gittel is so small.
