James Learns He Has Autism tells the story of a young elementary school student who learns he has autism. It demonstrates how the author broached the topic with her son. It also addresses some of the differences and concerns that she has been asked by fellow classmates. It was written at the request of several parents who were asking the author for suggestion on how to explain it to their own children who have autism.
