The book explains how children perceive things differently than parents or grandparents. It includes the village tradition of generations and the exchange in understanding and learning from each other at all levels. As the story unfolds, the grandson is inquisitive as to how old is his grandmother; but to his surprise, he finds out more than he bargained for. The book is written with a certain amount of humor and charm that illustrates an understanding, funniness, frustration and peace of mind that is so commonly found at the K-8 age.  “How Old Is Grandma?” shows the interactions among children, parents, and grandparents and the learning experiences they share. This book is written for children 4+ and older, and it is the beginning of a series of books. How Old is Grandma becomes the puzzling question to the story, and it is the oldest grandson who solves it.
