Maddie McDowell and the Rodeo Robbery

Maddie McDowell, feeling betrayed by her family and alone after her mother's death, decides to run away from boarding school to become a rodeo star and make a new family with the rodeo folk. Mistaken for a young rider who didn't make the train, Maddie sees a way in and takes it. But it doesn't take long to realize she may have made a mistake. Yep, she's in deeper than a calf in a sinkhole. Maddie must live up to the reputation of the cowgirl she's impersonating, find out what happened to that girl and why there's a stash of stolen cash in her trunk, all while it's becoming clear that someone is out to hurt Maddie ... or the girl she's pretending to be. And then there's that dadgummed bulldog that turns up at the worst possible times. Is rodeo life what Maddie needs, or is there more she’s seeking?
