Jadav and the Tree-Place tells the amazing story of Jadav 'Molai' Payeng (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jadav_Payeng), an environmentalist, activist, and a member of the Mishing tribe in Assam. Payeng single-handedly turned a 550-hectare sandbar into a lush forest, through tireless planting and decades of dedicated conservation activities. Jadav and the Tree-Place was the 2016 winner of the Publishing Next Digital Book of the Year Award, and a winner of the Best of Indian Children’s Writing (BICW) – Contemporary Awards 2019.
