AMMENITIES

There are (4) guest properties at Allerton Park & Retreat Center: Allerton Mansion | Gate House | House in the Woods | Evergreen Lodge.


SATURDAY NIGHT DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ACCOMODATIONS INCLUDED IN YOUR $645 FEE. There is (1) triple occupancy available too!

After registering, attendees will be contacted about how to request a roommate OR identify their preferred roommate(s).

  • When we contact you for roommate request or preferred roommate, we will also ask a number of questions to help us assign you a room that is a comfortable accommodation.
  • Requests are honored but not guaranteed.
  • Guest rooms will be assigned per preferences and registration date, so REGISTER EARLY.
  • All guest rooms have private baths.
  • All guest rooms are fully appointed and ready for guests.
  • There are coffee makers in each of the rooms in Gate House, House in the Woods and Evergreen Lodge.
  • The coffee station in the Mansion has fresh coffee in the morning. 

Handicap Accessible Rooms

  • There are 3 accessible rooms on the first floor of the ALLERTON MANSION, 2 have carpet.
  • All public restrooms in the ALLERTON MANSION are accessible.


ALL CONFERENCE MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR FEE

Meals catered by BLUE DRAGONFLY CATERING

  • A WEEKEND HOSPITALITY TABLE will be provided with water carafe, snacks and bottled water for our overnight stay.
  • Attendees will be asked about their food allergies and sensitivities. Conference planners will try to accommodate these to the best of their abilities. If you have severe allergies, please consider bringing supplemental snacks.
  • All-day beverage service will be provided on Saturday to all attendees. These include water, coffee. tea and sodas. Iced tea will be served at lunch and dinner.
  • Wine will be served Saturday evening. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED.
  • Attendees are encouraged to being a refillable water bottle to take into the gardens and on trails.

SATURDAY:

  • Get you Grab n' Go Snack from our WEEKEND HOSPITALITY TABLE after Check-In
  • Buffet lunch
  • Buffet dinner will be provided.
  • Wine will be provided to attendees with dinner. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED.

SUNDAY

  • Morning coffee station and WEEKEND HOSPITALITY TABLE will be available at 8AM in the Mansion.
  • Coffee makers in rooms in the following buildings on the estate: GATE HOUSE | HOUSE IN THE WOODS | EVERGREEN LODGE
  • Brunch provided from 10 AM-noon on Sunday with coffee, tea and juice.

You don’t have to be a paper engineer to submit a proposal. There are several types of novelty books for children. This presentation will show the basic formats of several novelty books. Participants will be given a 5 page handout with:A. Would your book idea suit a novelty book format? B. Tackling the moving parts/designing a novelty book dummy. C. A list of publishers who print novelty books. D. A list of “classic” novelty books.
