Tiffany Yates Martin, Editor

Tiffany has spent nearly thirty years as an editor working directly in the publishing industry with major publishers and New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling and award-winning authors as well as indie and newer writers, and is the founder of FoxPrint Editorial--a Writer’s Digest Best Websites for Writers--and author of Intuitive Editing: A Creative and Practical Guide to Revising Your Writing. and The Intuitive Author: How to Grow and Sustain a Happier Writing Career. She leads workshops, presentations, keynotes, and master classes for conferences and writers' groups around the world and is a frequent contributor to writers' sites and publications like Writer's Digest, Jane Friedman’s blog, Writer Unboxed, and more. Tiffany has experience on both sides of the "page": Under the pen name Phoebe Fox, she's also the author of six novels.

Cate Berry, Author

Cate Berry is the author of multiple humorous picture books (Harper Collins, MacMillan, Page Kids), with more on the way. Cate holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in humor, and has been a featured presenter at the Texas Book Festival, The Writing Barn, Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and many SCBWI conferences. Ms. Berry is the former humor columnist for Austin Family Magazine and is a seasoned presenter and educator. Cate loves public speaking on surviving and thriving in the arts, along with classes and workshops on the subject. Erin Cotter, Author

Erin Cotter lives in Austin, Texas with her partner, pets, and a fluctuating number of foster cats. She is the author of young adult novels By Any Other Name and A Traitorous Heart, both out from Simon & Schuster. She has been a professor of writing, literature, and a director of a writing center. When not thinking about books, she spends her time running, eating tacos, and searching for Golden-cheeked Warblers in the Texas Hill Country.

Claire Tattersfield, Editor

Claire Tattersfield is an associate editor at Viking Children’s Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group. At Viking she works on books for children of all ages, but particularly focuses on commercial picture books and uplifting the incredible brands Viking has built over the years, including Corduroy, the works of Roald Dahl, Pippi Longstocking, and many others. Astonishingly, working in publishing was not enough picture book exposure for Claire, so she found herself on the New York Times bestseller list after penning a funny porcine book called Cupig, illustrated by Rob Sayegh Jr.

Tracy Shaw, Art Director

Tracy Shaw has been in publishing for 25 years at Little, Brown and Company, currently an art director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers (LBYR). She studied Illustration at RISD which led her to book design, and has worked on everything from board books to adult nonfiction. For 8 years she led the art direction of James Patterson’s children’s imprint, Jimmy Patterson Books, and is now back to doing what she loves best - picture books. https://www.tracyshawdesigns.com/

Monica Rodriguez, Agent

Monica Rodriguez is a literary agent and the Director of Brand Management at Context Literary Agency. Her mission as an agent is to help uplift underrepresented voices in publishing, specifically within the Latinx community. She’s mentored authors at The Writing Barn and is a faculty member at The Manuscript Academy. In children’s literature, she is actively looking for MG, YA & Graphic Novels and is open to illustrators and comic artists. She is also a first-gen Mexican-American author and hosts a self-love journey podcast called Find A Lovely Life.

Adrianna Cuevas, Author

Adrianna Cuevas is the author of the Pura Belpre honor book The Total Eclipse of Nestor Lopez, the Edgar Award winning The Ghosts of Rancho Espanto, and many other popular middle grade titles. She is a first-generation Cuban-American originally from Miami, Florida. A former Spanish and ESOL teacher, Adrianna currently resides outside of Austin, Texas with her husband and son. When not substitute teaching at her local high school, cheering for the Florida Panthers hockey team, and setting off the smoke alarm in her kitchen, she is writing her next middle grade novel.

Chris Barton, Author

Chris Barton (www.chrisbarton.info) is the author of picture books including We Match! (July 2025), bestseller Shark vs. Train, Sibert Honor-winning The Day-Glo Brothers, and Whoosh! Lonnie Johnson's Super-Soaking Stream of Inventions, celebrated on 21 state lists. His newest nonfiction books include Moving Forward, Glitter Everywhere! and How to Make a Book (About My Dog). Chris and wife Jennifer Ziegler, author of Worser, live in Austin and co-host the children’s literature video series “This One’s Dedicated to…” He also serves as vice president of the Texas Institute of Letters.

Eliza Kinkz, Author/Illustrator

Eliza Kinkz is a Tejana artist who never stopped viewing the world through the bright colors of her crayons, AND she even ate a few, too! She's illustrated many hilarious picture books, including Papá's Magical Water-Jug Clock by Jesús Trejo which won the Pura Belpré Illustration Honor, and she was the 2022 James Marshall Fellow. All her ridiculous scribbles burst straight from her heart, which is overflowing with joy...and probably a few crayon pieces. ¡MISTACO! is her author-illustrator debut, and you can spill all the frijoles to her anytime.
