Conference Checklist
What to do before the conference:
- If you purchased a critique, please submit your manuscript/book dummy here:
- If you are attending the Friday Mix & Mingle Dinner and Pitch Party and wish to have your pitch potentially critiqued and voted on for the People's Choice Award, please submit your pitch here:
- If you are attending Session 3C: Getting Started in Middle Grade with John Rudolph, and wish to have your MG manuscript potentially critiqued, please submit your MG manuscript here:
- If you are participating in the Publication Celebration and Bookstore and wish to have your recent publication announced and available in the bookstore, please complete this form:
- If you have dietary restrictions and/or accessibility needs, please complete this Google Form:
What to bring to the conference:
- a book to donate to the Book Drive for the Cleveland Kids Book Bank. Please bring a diverse, recently published (new or gently used) book to donate to the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank. Check out their Book Wish List! We will present our donations to a representative from the Cleveland Kids Book Bank on Saturday.
- a folder for your schedule and handouts
- cash for the cash bar if you're attending the Friday Mix & Mingle Dinner and Pitch Party
- credit card or cash for the conference bookstore through Mac's Backs Books on Coventry
- a copy of your manuscript if you're signed up for a critique
- your portfolio if you're signed up for the Art Show or a critique
- personal headphones if you're receiving a live critique
- a notebook/laptop
- a writing utensil
- layers (in case the rooms are chilly)
- a refillable water bottle
