First Pages Sessions are a free, optional opportunity to meet with top faculty in a small group setting and watch was they review opening pages in real time. These sessions are designed as a learning experience for all attendees.
The first pages/roundtables are free, but limited availability. These are NOT recorded.
These take place during the conference day, Saturday. They will conflict with either a breakout or workshop session. Please make sure you check the SCHEDULE. If it conflicts at the same time as another presentation, we recommend purchasing the recordings pass.
In general registration, you will able to select a spot in one of 8 first pages/roundtable sessions.
No, you are welcome to sit and observe, and if prompted, you can also provide your feedback to the session.
However, these are small-group ticketed only. Only those with registered spots may join during the session.
Participants may submit the first page of a manuscript or project for consideration. Pages will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Pages chosen for discussion will be anonymous.
To submit your pages, go to the event under MY EVENTS and click MEETING INFO. There will be a submission form.
No, your submission does not guarantee selection or live critique. Because time is limited, not all submitted pages will be reviewed, and some attendees may not receive direct feedback. If you want a guaranteed, personalized critique, please sign up for one of our paid critique options. Even if your page is not selected, the session offers valuable insight into the submission and decision-making process.
