First Look sessions are a free, optional (but exclusive) opportunity to meet with top faculty in a small group setting and watch as they review opening pages, portfolios, or queries in real time. These sessions are designed as both a learning experience and a networking opportunity. Hear what immediately stands out to agents/editors/art directors, and how industry professionals evaluate projects.
First Look sessions are free, but availability is limited and registration is required. These sessions are NOT recorded and are not open to general attendance.
These sessions take place during the conference day, Saturday.
*** Please make sure you check the SCHEDULE. If it conflicts with another presentation you want to attend, we recommend purchasing the recordings pass. ***

No, your submission does not guarantee selection or live critique. Because time is limited, not all submitted pages will be reviewed, and some attendees may not receive direct feedback. If you want a guaranteed, personalized critique, please sign up for one of our paid critique options. Even if your page is not selected, the session offers valuable insight into the submission and decision-making process.
