2026 Creative Retreat

Join SCBWI Western Washington Nov. 6 - 8, 2026, at beautiful Rainbow Lodge in North Bend, where we'll enjoy a full weekend of virtual and in-person workshops with VP and Editorial Director Kendra Levin of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, award-winning art director, designer, and illustrator Sara Gillingham, and award-winning local author Curtis Manley. Enjoy hands-on learning, creative time, community, great food, and inspirational nature. Kendra will join the group by Zoom for a three-hour workshop on Saturday, with other workshops and group activities throughout the weekend. An opportunity for illustrator image critiques from Sara will be available separately. Retreat registration (at the same low rates as in 2024!) includes a shared room ($520 for members, $600 for nonmembers), or optionally add $125 for a single room.
