Welcome, Illustrators! Karina Granda, Art Director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers will give you a written portfolio critique and one-on-one virtual feedback.
Event Description:
Karina Granda, Art Director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers will give 7 written portfolio critiques. On November 14th, each illustrator will have 15 minutes to discuss their artwork and written critique one-on-one with Karina during the two-hour virtual roundtable event. It's a great opportunity to present 10 - 12 pieces of your artwork to an industry professional for feedback.
Portfolio Deadline: October 22, 2026, by 12 noon ET
Registered Illustrators, please submit 10 – 12 pieces of your original artwork.
Maximum file size of PDF or Word Doc is 4 MB.

Teresa Robeson, author/illustrator and past SCBWI RA, will lead as well as participate in this event.

Recording and Submission Opportunity:
This event will be recorded for participants to download. The recording along with Karina’s submission guidelines will be emailed to you several days following the virtual roundtable event.

Karina Granda is an Art Director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. She works across a range of formats which include Picture Books, Middle Grade, Young Adult, and Graphic Novels. She has designed and art directed many award-winning and bestselling books including THE PROUDEST BLUE, THE MAGIC MISFITS series, THE DOOR OF NO RETURN, STAMPED and STAMPED (FOR KIDS), THE INHERITANCE GAMES series, the FOLKS OF THE AIR series, INTERNMENT, and the LOVE & GELATO series. When not reading or making books, she loves hunting for the best cheese and donuts, taking long walks.
