Setting Up Graphic Novel Files for Publishing. A walk through what goes into Scholastic’s graphic novel files and best practices for setting them up for print. This will go over book templates, using the correct color space, layering files and grouping layers, best practices for lettering, and a walk through the final process of adjusting color and optimizing files for print.

Chritopher Russo will be offering virtual critiques of art related to comics and graphic novels. Ten participants will have a 20 minute private session to discuss their work.
Submission slots are available on a first come first serve basis.
Chris does not acquire clients but will offer his critiques as a professional in the field.

Presenter Bio: Chris Russo graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in Illustration in 2011, worked for Holiday House Publishing as a designer from 2011, and joined Scholastic Graphix in 2025, where he currently works. He also writes and draws his own comics in his spare time. When he's not working on comics, he's riding his bike around Brooklyn, baking a pie, or playing video games.
