Robert Sayegh Jr, Keynote, Author & Illustrator

Rob Sayegh Jr. is the author-illustrator and illustrator of numerous books for children, including the New York Times best-selling picture books I'm Not Scared, YOU'RE Scared! by Seth Meyers, and Cupig by Claire Tattersfield. Rob Sayegh Jr. creates playful illustrations, silly stories, and heartwarming characters to make people of all ages smile. A former toy designer, he finds inspiration for new stories by collecting vintage toys, exploring the streets of San Francisco, and falling in love with every dog he meets. His latest author/illustrator picture book, DAWN PATROL, will release May 13th, 2025 and is published by Candlewick Press.

Aliza Hoover, Literary Agent - THE CAT AGENCY

Aliza Hoover is an agent at the CAT Agency, where she represents visual storytellers with distinctive, unique voices. She is inspired every day by the illustrators and author-illustrators she represents, and is honored to help bring their stories into the world. Before becoming an agent, Aliza was the Art Coordinator at Candlewick Press. With a degree in Classics and a background in visual art, she is passionate about storytelling and the magical place where words and images collide.

Eugenia Yoh, Art Director at Chronicle Books

Eugenia Yoh is an illustrator and designer based in Berkeley. In the day time, she is a children’s book designer at Chronicle Books and has worked on an array of picture books and board books. Secretly, she is a double agent and becomes a children’s book author and illustrator in the moonlight. Her first book This Is Not My Home (Little, Brown 2022) and second book What If We (Little, Brown June 2025), were written with her college best friend. She writes stories as a way to capture the beautiful, mundane, and brilliant parts of life. May these stories make you laugh, may these stories make you cry, may they remind you what it was to be a child again.

Abigail Samoun, Literary Agent - Red Fox Literary

Before co-founding Red Fox Literary, LLC with Karen Grencik in 2011, ABIGAIL SAMOUN was an in-house children’s book editor for over ten years. The books she edited received such honors as the CCBC Charlotte Zolotow award, the Ezra Jack Keats award, and the Pura Belpre Honor. As an agent, Abigail represents authors and illustrators working in a range of genres, from board books to young adult novels. In addition to agenting, Abigail is the author of several children’s books, including Union Square Publishing’s Little Traveler board book series illustrated by Sarah Watts, What’s In Your Purse?, and Tarot for Baby.

Laura Lee, Author & Illustrator

LAURA G. LEE is a second-generation Korean American children’s book author and illustrator, who is passionate about stories that spark our connection to the world and one another. She lives in northern California with her husband, son, and daughter. When she’s not making books, you may find her in her kitchen adding soy sauce to make tasty food even more delicious, or out on a hunt for authentic Korean-Chinese jajangmyeon (a black bean noodle dish popular in 1960s Seoul). Cindy Chang, Author & Illustrator

Cindy Chang is a Taiwanese-American author-illustrator, and digital design leader currently based in the SF Bay Area. She is the author and illustrator of HOW TO DRAW A SECRET (Harper Collins / Allida 2025), her debut semi-autobiographical graphic novel, with another book to follow. She holds degrees in Computer Science and Education from Stanford. When she’s not pushing pixels, writing, or drawing, she can be found eating tea and pastries, running after her toddler son, and looking up through the leaves.
