Important:

Please note that ONLY the Zoom Pitch portion of this event is held on November 11th. The duration indicated at the top of the page is for the entirety of pitches with various faculty. Should you buy a pitch critique, your Zoom session is for 10 minutes, and we will let you know when that occurs.

How the Spectacular works:

* If you are signing up for manuscript or query letter critiques, please submit them via the Jotform that will be emailed to you within a month after we’ve received your registration. If you sign up for more than one written critique, you will have to upload each one separately. Note that Jotform emails will be sent out June 1, July 1, August 1 and September 25.

* Manuscripts should be properly formatted Word documents. Query letter should be in standard letter format with one-inch margins but not double-spaced. Word Doc and Docx are accepted.

* If you have a picture book dummy, you need to submit the written/text manuscript as a Word doc and add the URL to the dummy (either to a cloud storage like Dropbox or to a password-protected page on your website) either before the body of the story or at the end in the manuscript, noting that it’s available.

* Manuscripts and query letters need to be uploaded by or before the September 26, 2023 deadline. The critiques will be returned to you by November 10, 2023.

You will get several reminders before the submission due date. If you don’t send in your pages by midnight of the due date, you will forfeit your spot to someone else on the waitlist.

* If you are signing up for the 10-minute Zoom Pitch Critiques, we will notify you as to the time that you need to show up on November 11, 2023.
