NOTE: THIS IS A FREE EVENT FOR SCBWI MEMBERS BUT YOU MUST REGISTER TO ENSURE SEATING AS SEATING IS LIMITED.

When registering, make sure that you are logged into the system. Non-Members will not be able to attend!

Writers: 

Middle-Grade Novels: Bring 5 copies of no more than 5 pages of your current Work-In-Progress, printed on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, double-spaced, in 12-point readable font, with 1-inch margins. On the first page of the document, the author’s name and contact information appears in the top left corner.

Young Adult Novels: Bring 5 copies of no more than 5 pages of your current Work-In-Progress, printed on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, double-spaced, in 12-point readable font, with 1-inch margins. On the first page of the document, the author’s name and contact information appears in the top left corner.

Picture Books: Bring 5 copies of your entire current Work-In-Progress picture book, printed on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, double-spaced, in 12-point readable font, with 1-inch margins. On the first page of the document, the author’s name and contact information appears in the top left corner.

Illustrators: 

Bring your current portfolio. This can either be a physical portfolio if you have one, or bring a link to your online portfolio that we can view.

10:15 am – 10:45 am: Brief Overview of Critiquing and Feedback Process

10:45 am – 11:45 am: Break Into Groups for Practicum

11:45 am – 12:00 pm: Close and Final Thoughts
