During this hour-long virtual event you'll learn steps needed to polish, format, and position your manuscript for self-publishing success. 


TONYA DUNCAN ELLIS is author of SCBWI Crystal Kite Honor book THEY BUILT ME FOR FREEDOM: THE STORY OF JUNETEENTH AND HOUSTON'S EMANCIPATION PARK (HarperCollins) and COOKOUT CHEMISTRY (Charlesbridge 2027). She writes picture books, chapter books and middle grade novels and successfully self-published the 13-book SOPHIE WASHINGTON chapter book series, which has sold over 175,000 copies. An MBA from Washington University of St. Louis, Tonya presented on marketing at SCBWI's 2023 Winter Conference in New York City.  She won SCBWI Austin's 2021 Cynthia Leitich Smith Writing Mentor Award. Tonya is represented by Adria Goetz of kt Literary and lives in Houston, TX.

RECORDING

The workshop will be recorded, and the recording will be available for one month following the event. Attendees will receive a link and a password by email the week following the event. By signing up for this event, you agree to receive emails from Austin SCBWI.
