Whether you have finished your novel or are just starting out, this three-hour workshop features practical editing tips to help you expertly revise your novel. Attendees have the opportunity to submit a first page to Loggia, who will select several to feature in the workshop as positive examples. The 250-word first pages are due by noon on Wednesday, October 16. The Intensive will be recorded and all registered attendees will receive the recording by November 19, and it will be available for view for 30 days.
Wendy Loggia is a vice president and publisher at Delacorte Press, where she edits and writes middle-grade and young-adult fiction. She has helped publish many award-winning books, including Going Bovine by Libba Bray (2010) and Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon (2017). Loggia's own books include All I Want for Christmas (2020), Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998), and the Princess Protection Program series. She has also worked at Grosset & Dunlap and Bantam Doubleday Dell. Loggia is a creative and well-respected publishing professional with extensive experience acquiring, editing, and developing projects for middle-grade and teen readers. Her curated “hit list” includes a robust mix of commercial and literary titles, debuts, and brand-name authors, including 20+ New York Times bestsellers, multiple state award winners, a Michael L. Printz winner, an honor book, an Edgar nominee, and a National Book Award finalist. She is also a freelance writer and book doctor for publishers such as Disney, Harper, and Penguin, working on projects ranging from early readers to teen fiction.
