Board Book vs. Picture Book vs. Early Reader: How to Write Across Genres

Feb 10, 2026

Online event

Join Laura Gehl for a deep dive into writing across genres.

Board books, picture books, and early readers have something very important in common--a reliance on illustrations to tell part of the story. However, each of these genres requires a different approach. Laura will discuss guidelines for writing in each of these three genres, and how to decide which format might be the best fit for any given idea. This event will be recorded, and a replay will be available for 30 days after the live event.
