Dorothy H. Price's first picture book, NANA'S FAVORITE THINGS, was published by Eifrig Publishing in 2016. In 2019, two of her children’s stories were published in Learning for Justice, a project of the Southern Poverty Law Center. That same year, Dorothy was one of three picture book writers selected for the We Need Diverse Books Mentorship Program. Her first four chapter books in the JALEN'S BIG CITY LIFE series published in 2022 by Capstone Publishing. Four additional chapter books in the same series were published in August 2023. Dorothy is also a Baldwin for the Arts 2023-2024 Fellow. She plans to devote her residency to writing her memoir.
