Meet Kris

Kris' career started in graphic design and illustration for his state’s health department, eventually being promoted to art and photography director. He worked for Squarespace on their product support team and authored two books about Squarespace—Squarespace For Dummies and Squarespace 6 For Dummies. His primary job today is working for a user experience company helping corporate clients create usable and friendly websites and apps. Kris is currently working on his first graphic novel for young readers. It's about a girl, her dog, and wanting to eat more than one doughnut.

Whether you have a website or not, this session will walk you through creating a website with Squarespace. We'll dive into why you want to build, manage, and control your own website; what content you should have; and how to get started with detailed steps to creating a website for authors and illustrators. Kris has over 20 years of experience with Squarespace and building websites for creators, small businesses, and corporations. Attendees will learn about the different types of content you can put on your Squarespace website, understand how to apply your creativity to design a unique website, and leave the presentation armed with the knowledge and confidence to build, manage, and control your own little corner of the internet.
