Graphic novels are more popular than ever, and this engaging workshop offers a lively introduction to the exciting intersection of storytelling and illustration. Explore how words and images work together—and begin creating a graphic narrative of your own.

During the workshop, Janet will:

  • Explain the key differences between comics and graphic novels
  • Share a range of historical and contemporary examples
  • Guide participants step by step through the process of creating a comic

Participants will have the opportunity to make a short comic of their own and, if they wish, share it at the end of the session.

Please bring: a few sheets of A4 white paper and a drawing medium of your choice—pencils, pens, paints, markers, or a digital pen and tablet (such as an iPad with Procreate).

The webinar will be recorded for those who cannot attend live, and will be available for viewing for one month.

For questions: email Fanely at [email protected] or Mayra at [email protected].
