Artificial Intelligence (AI): Beware & Be Aware!
AI is no longer a future innovation. It is already here, and everyone should know enough about it to safeguard ourselves. Whether we like it or not, AI is embedded into everything we use, GPS, Alexa, Siri, and most apps. They are trained to learn from everything we do. As writers, we have probably inadvertently used AI without thinking. It is embedded in Microsoft Office tools, Adobe, Canva , Procreate, etc.⭐Come join us as we discuss how we can safegaurd ourselves and our work. ⭐ Nov. 5, 2026⭐7 pm
Topics that will be discussed in this Shop Talk:
1. SCBWI Policy about AI.
2. What is AI, and how does it affect us?
3. What can you safely use it for?
4. What NOT to use it for when creating content and publication. (Examples of famous writers who have been discredited by AI use in their work).
5. How AI is used in scams and how to safeguard yourself.
6. How to Protect your integrity as a writer by avoiding some pitfalls. (AI Checkers).
7. Round Table: Discussion, Concerns, Final Thoughts
