Moving Into Middle-Grade *REPLAY*

The road from writing nonfiction picture books to writing a middle grade novel can be exciting, enlightening, and exasperating. In her presentation, Suzanne will share her author journey along with highlighting examples of the research and writing strategies used in Decoding the Moon that gave her the skills and confidence to make the move.⭐Replay available until June 12th, 2026⭐Hosted by the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Area Shop Talk Coordinators.

Bio: Suzanne Jacobs Lipshaw is a children’s book author and recently retired teacher passionate about growing young minds. Her writing credentials include the middle grade novel Decoding the Moon, and four true-story picture books Rugged RAX: The Little Satellite that Could, The Super Volcano: The Hidden Hero Below Yellowstone National Park, Mighty Mahi, and I Campaigned for Ice Cream: A Boy’s Quest for Ice Cream Trucks. Suzanne enjoys speaking about writing, leadership, and how kids can make a difference.
