Pitch Session: How to participate
Be sure to select a pitch WHEN you register for First Page Center Stage--LIVE! in Lancaster.
- You should have a prepared 1-2 minute oral pitch.
- Please allow the rest of the time for the faculty member to provide feedback and/or discussion.
- Pitches are one-on-one on the day of the event.

A limited number of 10-minute meetings are available with assistant designer Jon Corby.
- Share your illustrator postcard in person,
- get some on the spot feedback on the overall presentation of it,
- and ask some career consultation type questions.

Be sure to select Illustrator Postcard Cold Feedback Session WHEN you register for First Page Center Stage--LIVE! in Lancaster.
What to bring: One illustrator postcard front and back sides printed on same card OR One digital postcard--same postcard size BUT showing a sampling of your online presence. So, maybe front is a snapshot of your webpage and back is a snapshot from your Instagram or online portfolio page. You may choose to bring two copies--one for Jon to view and one for you to view/take notes on.
Query/First Page Cold Feedback Session: What Is It?
A limited number of 10-minute meetings are available with literary agent Leslie Zampetti.
- Share your first page (250 words max) or a query letter
- and get some on the spot feedback.
- We recommend sharing in 2-3 minutes and leaving the remaining time for feedback or other discussion.

Be sure to select Query/First Page Cold Feedback Session WHEN you register for First Page Center Stage--LIVE! in Lancaster.
What to bring: EITHER The First Page of your project (max 250 words) OR one query letter. You may choose to bring two copies--one for you to read from and one for Leslie to follow along with.
