May 17th, 9:30am - 11:00am CST. $25 for members; $35 for non-members.
Register for the chance to get the first pages of your picture book or early reader reviewed by a senior editor at Scholastic! The first ten submissions will receive feedback, so register early! Even if submissions are full, there will be an open 30-minute Q&A session at the end for all participants.
Wow, that was fast! Even if your submission isn't read, you can still attend and ask questions during the Q&A session. If you didn't get a chance to submit, not to worry--we'll have another first pages event next month!
How It'll Work:
After a brief introduction, the webinar moderator will read submitted first pages. Each submission will be read for 5 minutes or in its entirety, whichever comes first. Katie will give individualized feedback live.
How to Submit:
After registering, send the first 5 pages of your picture book or early reader in standard formatting (12-point font, Times New Roman, 1-inch margins, double-spaced) as a .doc or .pdf to [email protected] with the subject line FIRST PAGES SUBMISSION. At the top of the page, please include the title, genre, and age category. Submissions are due by Friday, May 16. The first 10 submissions will be taken, first come, first serve.
**NOTE: Katie will not be open to submissions after the event at this time.
