Contemporary slice of life, humor, memorable character-driven storytelling, inventive visual structures or formats. For illustration style, looking for strong character designs and sense of environment, with traditional media or echo of traditional media textures. I’d prefer to critique illustrator portfolios, with a focus on picture books and graphic novels, but could also do chapter books and middle grade.
