Sally Morgridge (she/her) loves working on books for children of all ages. Recent highlights include Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor book Owl and Penguin, by Vikram Madan; Indies Introduce and Kids Indies Next selection The Places We Sleep, a novel in verse by Caroline Brooks DuBois; and The Carrefour Curse, a spooky middle grade by Dianne K. Salerni, which received three starred reviews and was a JLG Gold Standard selection. A new project that she’s excited about is Insha'Allah, No, Maybe So, a forthcoming picture book by Rhonda and Nadia Roumani, illustrated by Olivia Aserr. Sally's list is mostly middle grade, including graphic novels and novels in verse, as well as select picture books, early readers, nonfiction, and YA. The best submissions to send her way will be character-driven with distinct, memorable voices. She’s a forever fan of sneaky mysteries, heart-stopping plots, funny writing, and fresh takes on coming-of-age stories.
