Sketch night is a fun night designed for illustrators to hang out, draw, and have conversations about illustration in the kid lit industry. If you are new to the chapter, this is the BEST way to meet your fellow illustrators! There’s typically about 5 – 10 people that attend regularly. And writers...you're always welcome too! Illustrators Sketch Night! Sketch night will be in person unless otherwise noted. Sketch night is a fun night designed for illustrators to hang out, draw, and have conversations about illustration in the kid lit industry. It's a great way to build community with your fellow Austin SCBWI members! This event is geared to chapter members. If you are new to the chapter, this is the BEST way to meet your fellow illustrators! There’s typically about 5 – 10 people that attend regularly. And writers...you're always welcome too! We've had many writer attend! This group meets every 2nd Tuesday (minus major holiday weeks) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. This is a members-only SCBWI illustrators group. However, if you're interested in joining SCBWI or you're a chapter member who'd like to invite a friend, free to invite them along so they can get to know the chapter. Contact IC, Laura, below for any questions. Bring your favorites whatever you need to sketch and draw. You'll see people using every type of material and medium! LOCATION: Easy Tiger NORTHSIDE, outside tables area Easy Tiger NORTHSIDE location is a great space to work- nice sturdy tables, the outdoor area is lit nicely AND has lots of heat lamps if it's a little chilly. They have a full menu, tasty breads or you can get alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. It's a lovely fun space and look forward to drawing with you!
