In-person Sketch and Scribble and Picnic get together

Join us for a day of inspiration as we take in the works of celebrated Japanese illustrator, Mitsumasa Anno, followed by a picnic in the nearby Showa Kinen Koen. Bring your pencils, paper and pens to sketch and scribble in this creative workout.

Feel free to join us for the whole day, or just for part of it.

For the Play! Museum

Meet at the Play! Museum between 10:15 - 10:30 am

You can book your ticket online here Ticket prices for adults - 1,800 JPY

Attendees can go at their own pace around the exhibition.

For Showa Kinen Koen

Meet at Showa Kinen Park Main Information Center – 12:30 pm (This is about 5-10 mins walk from the Play! Museum).

Admission price to the park - 450 JPY for adults.

We’ll find a suitable place in the park to picnic and share any sketches or scribbles you’ve managed to create.

In case of bad weather, there are a number of restaurants and cafes near the Play! Museum. We’ll make alternative arrangements in this case.

What to bring:

1.     Your personal creative toolkit – favorite writing and sketching tools.

2.     For the picnic – picnic mat, bento (there are places at the train station and at the park where you can buy food), and any other items you feel will be useful.
