Kick off the new year with a January write-in/draw-in with author/illustrator Katie Erickson. Are you an illustrator or author who fears the blank page? In this interactive presentation, Katie will share a few different tactics to get over that hump and find your way gently into the “flow." Then, there will be time for writing and/or illustrating for the rest of the evening session. We hope everyone will leave inspired and ready to conquer that page.

Katie Erickson is an architect turned freelance illustrator for kids. She illustrates regularly for magazines, and she is currently illustrating the third nonfiction picture book in a series with Tiny Tradesman. She is pursuing her graduate degree in writing. She loves volunteering with SCBWI, and she loves working with her developmental editing clients to help them discover and to reach their goals.
