MONTHLY MEETING: How to work with your local independent bookstore

Oct 11, 2025

BookPeople 603 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78703

Getting your book published is just the first step. Now you've got to get it in the hands of readers. Of course, there's Amazon, the chains, and libraries, but don't overlook your greatest allies: Local Independent Bookstores! Madeline will show you how to build and maximize your relationships with independent booksellers both locally and across the nation by: (1) Pulling back the curtain on book buying, (2) discussing how to approach book buyers and event coordinators, (3) maximizing sales when doing in store events. Indie booksellers love books and love talking about them. Let's make sure the next book they talk about is yours!
