Monthly Meeting: Self-Publish Your Book!

Jul 08, 2023

BookPeople, 603 N. Lamar, Austin, TX 78703

If you’ve ever thought about self-publishing a book but have no idea where to start, this presentation with author and self-publishing guru P.J. Hoover is just for you. Dipping your toes into self-publishing can seem overwhelming, and yes, there is a lot to learn, but this presentation is here to help you understand why you should consider self-publishing and what you need to know to get your book out there. There is a whole future of books ahead of you, and it's a great time to start on the path toward that future!

Monthly Meeting: Self-Publish Your Book!

Although we are meeting in person at BookPeople, we will also provide a Zoom link below approximately one hour before the meeting.

P. J. (Tricia) Hoover wanted to be a Jedi, but when that didn't work out, she became an electrical engineer instead. After a fifteen year bout designing computer chips for a living, P. J. started creating worlds of her own. She's the award-winning author of PROBLEM SOLVERS: 15 Innovative Women Engineers and Coders, and Tut: The Story of My Immortal Life, featuring a fourteen-year-old King Tut who's stuck in middle school. Under the Connor Hoover pseudonym, she is also the author of the popular Pick Your Own Quest series, which are Choose Your Own Adventure style interactive adventures perfect for everyone. When not working on her own writing, P. J. writes science curriculum articles and edits amazing manuscripts for other authors. P. J. loves spending time practicing kung fu, fixing things around the house, and solving Rubik's cubes. For more information about P. J. (Tricia) Hoover, please visit her website www.pjhoover.com.

The meeting will start at 10am at BookPeople. However, if you can not make it in person due to distance or health, we will do our best to stream it live on Zoom. If you have questions, please put them in the Zoom chat. As usual, the Zoom meeting code will be provided below on morning of the event.

The Central Austin Writers & Illustrators Critique Group will immediately follow in the meeting room on the third floor of BookPeople.
